Product Description:

The second generation Tacoma has proven its self as a solid reliable off-road vehicle following its predecessor. With this in mind we set out to engineer the strongest, lightest, most functional long travel kit available for the new Tacoma platform. The kit utilizes all American made materials and components reassuring the highest quality. The lower and upper arms are 3.5” wider than the factory arms and are constructed with TIG welded 4130 chromoly. The kit comes with high quality steering extensions and retains 4wd and cycles a clean 12.75” of travel. We limited the travel to this amount to avoid creating excessive damage to the inner fender well and allowing you to run 285 tires with out excessive slicing of them when the suspension bottoms out. The lower arm comes set up to run a coil over and a secondary 2.5 shock. The lower arms are set up for Kings or fox 2.5 shocks but can be set up for Sway-Away upon request. The kit also includes a billet 4140 lower uniball conversion to eliminate the factory ball joint. The upper and lower uniballs are both FK bearings with Teflon lining for extended life. The installation of the kit is straight forward and 95% bolt on. Some minor grinding and welding is required for the limit strap clevis and reservoir tabs. The kit requires fiberglass fenders for proper installation.

When you install your new Built Right long travel kit you might want to strengthen the frame of your truck to avoid bending or cracking. We offer a few products that will greatly aid you in doing so. We make a coilover tower gusset kit that strengthens the upper arms mounting points. Welding and grinding are necessary for installation. We also offer cam tabs. The alignment of your vehicle is adjusted by adjusting the bolts in the lower arm. When offroading the cams can slip resulting in your alignment being off. Our cam tabs greatly help by making it way harder for the cam to slip resulting in your alignment staying better when offloading. The 2nd Gen Tacomas are excellent trucks but the weakest link is the c-channel frames. When offroading the frame can easily become bent from excessive flexing or from the bump stops hitting to hard. We solved this problem by plating the inside of the frame in. By doing this you significantly add strength to your trucks frame. Prevention of a bent frame is much better than having to deal with repairing a bent frame. Installation of the Built Right frame plate kit requires welding and grinding.
